Introducing my new SS14 Concept hat collection ‘Blue Epoch’ by Laura Apsit Livens
Do you ever feel an attraction to colour? I feel emotion when I look at this colour, throughout this concept collection this colour blue has been screaming at me, I see it standing out to me everyday, everywhere. I remember first seeing International Klein blue in the Tate Liverpool, where on viewing Yves Klein’s work and appreciating the colour, it was captivating to see others reaction of the pigment painted canvas. Some hated it others like me fell into the colour, but all had a strong emotion when viewing the work. This collection has been designed and made from untraditional materials, such as leather, acrylic paint and through a sponsorship through Bic® the use of Cristal pen lids.
