For Laura, it really is all about the total image, with race season in full swing and royal ascot fast approaching there is no better location to acquire a stunning outfit finished off with an incredible hat.

She tells us how she is motivated by her incredible neighbours, “I can’t wait for Shop at Bluebird to open up next door at Duke Street Emporium, and across the road Selfridges shadows the same street, this is an fantastic location with the footfall of Oxford Street but the Luxury setting of setting of Mayfair.”

Laura (24) graduated from the London College of Fashion in 2011 where she studied BA(Hons) Cordwainers Accessories during which she worked for Philip Treacy. Whilst there she worked during the royal wedding (April 2011) and for couture houses including Valentino, Givenchy, Armani Privé and Alexander McQueen. She is also an alumnus of Central Saint Martins foundation course, graduating in CSM’s most successful foundation year.

She has been producing her own collections as well as collaborating with other design houses, most recent being Louis Vuitton for their L’invitation au Voyage campaign, Hasan Hejazi and Boodles the Jewellers. She has built up a star-studded client list including Paloma Faith, Rita Ora, Jessie J and the Duchess of Westminster, she has been featured in Magazines including LOVE Magazine, W magazine, Hello, Tirade, Suitcase and Elle.

As a hat designer she believes that it is of utmost importance that we do not see couture millinery disappear. It is important for her to use modern designs with old couture techniques, each piece being hand blocked and individually hand stitched without the use of any machinery.
